Watoto Entertainment was created out of a need for authentic and culturally relevant entertainment for children. It was over 20 years ago Sista Zaraya was planning her daughter’s first birthday party but couldn't find entertainment that reflected the language, culture, or rhythm of her community. That's when the vision came to create Watoto Entertainment “Children's entertainment for the Spirit! Watoto is the Ki- Swahili word for children, here we nurture children's imagination and tickle joyful spirits.
